To look amazing in pictures, knowing your angles is very important, look into the mirror and pose different angles, and see what suits you the most. And in posing for pictures, remember to always believe in yourself, confidence is the key to looking beautiful in every photo.
The following posing tips below are what I learned and I hope you’ll also find your confidence in posing for pictures.
1. Have A Good Posture
Always stand up straight and never slouch. Slouching can make you look insecure and it comes through photos. By standing up straight it will make you look taller, confident, and more beautiful.
2. Create Angles
In creating angles, remember to keep it loose and natural.
You also need to know that taking the picture down lower, can make you look taller. While when having, a face shot, try to take the picture above. It can give more definition to the angles of your face.
3. Proper Use of Arms and Legs
When posing, keep your arms away from your torso. By doing so, it can make your arms look slimmer. For the legs, pose with your legs slightly apart, doing this can make your legs look elongated.
4. Check Out Your Smile
Sometimes a smile that is too big and unnatural can be off-putting, try to tone it down and smile that looks more genuine and natural.
Another thing that can make you look better, is to try to reflect your smile with your eyes because eyes are very expressive and it can show what you feel.
5. Lighting
When it comes to lighting the best one would be natural lighting, it brightens up your face and it makes you glow especially when you shoot during golden hour.
6. Knowing What To Do With Your Hands
It can be difficult sometimes to know what to do with your hands while posing when all you know is to place it by your side that can sometimes make you look awkward.
Here’s the tip, you can bring a prop like a bag that can give you something to do with your hands or use your hands to play with your pockets. What if you don’t have a prop? don’t worry! you can use your hands to play with your hair or place it near your face.
7. Try Taking Burst Photos
When taking burst photos, it will take so many photos and it will capture every little movement you make. Try making different poses and just enjoy, in the end, you’ll have lots of pictures to choose from.
